WHY CHOOSE ME TO BE YOUR REALTOR?
I Love Everything About Real Estate!
I always have.
As a seven-year-old, I fell in love with a house in our neighborhood. I really wanted my parents to buy it and let them know it! So I drew a picture of it, placed it right in the bathroom where all would see it. Within a few months, it was my new home! That was the start of my love affair with real estate.
In the years since then, I started my own rental property business which offered quality rental homes to many Morgantown professionals, professors and more great people. I was always proud of having many long-term tenants and consider many of them to now be friends. I renovated many of these properties as well as other homes, doing much of the work on my own and working with a great team of contractors and designers when their skill was needed. From this, I am able to take a critical, knowledgeable eye towards properties, and spot items that could be of concern, as well as know what is needed to make a property really stand out.
My first rental property was actually a duplex my family bought when I was an undergrad at West Virginia University. Once I graduated, and got my career going, I soon became a landlord for that property! It was just the start of many years of renting, buying and renovating real estate, and going through all of the transaction side of the business many times. This experience has given me valuable insight on both sides of the real estate transaction table.
What do I do when I'm on vacation? Read a book on the beach? Maybe a little. But it always seems a good chunk of any of my vacation experience involves investigating the local real estate scene, driving around, looking at the homes in that particular area, gathering information about them and more. I just can't help myself. I love real estate!

I Also Love Marketing
In fact, I have 30 years of marketing experience! And in this world of technology and with so much competition out there, marketing your home in the smartest way, for the highest amount of visibility and interest, is critical.
Before I became a Realtor, I worked as a marketing specialist in the healthcare sector, which is a very competitive arena; an excellent arena in which to constantly devise and deploy strategic, savvy marketing skills.
I'm always looking for ways to help people with their real estate goals, whether it is to find that perfect home, sell their home, or even help with a vacation property.During my healthcare marketing career, I would often find myself discussing real estate with medical staff, and even help them find properties before I was a Realtor! My family loves to tell a story of me being in the recovery room after surgery, and as I was starting to awake from the anesthesia, I overheard the recovery room nurses talking about finding a vacation property to rent, and in my post-surgery sluggishness, I started talking to them about someone I knew who had a property I thought might work for them and provided them with all the details!

And I Love Working with People
Selling real estate isn’t a job or a career. It’s a way of life. My reason d'etre (reason for being) is helping people. Real estate is all about change. A dream. Being a Realtor is more about being a counselor and helping my clients through that major life change, be it a promotion and move to Morgantown. A baby on the way and need for more space. Retiring and downsizing. Even death and selling the family homestead. Each step, begs for consistent support and guidance. My passion is helping each client through whatever change they find themselves in at the time and I’ll be there every step. I will always do what’s best for my clients. Always.
I'm Detailed Oriented
A Realtor deals with a lot. A lot of important facts, documents, scheduling, contracts and more. It is my job to help you through the maze that today's real estate transactions encompass. What might seem overwhelming to others, is just another day at the office for me. The mounds of documentation, it's nothing intimidating, but knowing which forms and which boxes to check is a huge reason to have a professional Realtor such as myself at your side!
I'm a Native North Central West Virginian
Being raised here, living and working here and loving these wondrous mountains of West Virginia has allowed me to form ties with a lot of people! I bring all of those contacts to bear for your success.

I was born in Fairmont and grew up here. I went to West Virginia University and earned my master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. I recognize the unique characteristics and benefits of living and working in Morgantown, Fairmont, Bridgeport and Clarksburg, as well as Preston County. It would be a pleasure and an honor to work for you.

And I Have a Ton of Great Contacts & Am Involved in the Community
Being a native of this area, working here in careers that required extensive community contact has provided me with a wealth of contacts that are an asset to my clients. Not only does such a deep contact base bring additional exposure for my selling clients, it also helps me know of properties that haven't even hit the market yet! And when a specific need or issue arises, I have the right sources to get them addressed. Being a Realtor who is very involved in the community is beneficial to all of my clients.
